Remembering how to read

One of the problems with the London pace is that the weeks just seem to fly by. We spend our time running from one activity to another, constantly switched on to our mobile devices and other screens. I am totally guilty of that.

The added fun of purchasing and then redecorating our home, whilst also wedding planning and doing all the usual socialising over Christmas, means that it feels like ages since I last read something.

That isn’t true of course – I have read a couple of sci-fi novels – but haven’t read anything that has been waiting on my to-read list.

However, the books are out of their boxes and on the bespoke bookshelf we had commissioned, so now there is no excuse. Now the question is…where do I start… Mouth Full of Blood by Toni Morrison or Becoming by Michelle Obama….decisions, decisions!
